The IRIS program has an STS-1 seismometer along with an FBA-23 low-gain sensor co-located with the WC/ATWC instruments in the Adak vault.

Site Conditions: S-13 and GeoTech 7505A seismometers placed in a mostly buried vault. The vault is built into weathered basalt of Tertiary age. Seismic piers are separated from floor. The site is on the former land of the Adak Naval Air Station.
